ABOUT YOUR NURS 600  INSTRUCTOR

Dr. Emily Bond, Professor of Nursing, has taught at Southeastern Louisiana University for over 16 years. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Southeastern. Her Master's of Science Degree in Nursing and Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Adult Education were obtained from the University of Southern Mississippi. Prior to entering nursing education, she worked in acute care (medical, surgical, and obstetrical areas) and in community health (maternal, infant and child health). She has presented at several conferences and has published in Nursing Diagnoses: The Journal of Nursing Language and Classification, Computers in Nursing and in Health Care Supervisor. She has co authored several grant proposals and has received funding for computer and interactive video equipment and instruction for the School of Nursing. Her research interests include health related learning projects of older adults and computer assisted and interactive video instruction for teaching basic nursing skills. Currently, she is Director of Sponsored Research and Contracts at Southeastern Louisiana University.
