Compliance Audit Report Index

Recruitment materials and presentations accurately represent the institution's practices and policies.

Southeastern is in compliance with Federal Requirement 4.6.

Recruitment is a campus-wide priority, and faculty, staff, and administrators are included in the student recruitment process. The Dean of Enrollment Management (page 13) is directly responsible to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and oversees all units and services in the enrollment management organization, including Undergraduate, Graduate and International Admissions; Recruitment; Freshman Orientation; Financial Aid and Scholarships; Records and Registration; Testing; and Veterans Services. The Dean of Enrollment Management also takes a prominent role in the accomplishment of the University's Strategic Priorities as they relate to enrollment management and in the accomplishment of the specific objectives outlined in the University's Annual Marketing/Recruitment Plan and the University's Retention and Progression Plan.

The Dean of Enrollment Management takes a high-level leadership role in developing recruitment materials, presentations, and programs that accurately but positively represent the institution's policies, practices, and programs. Members of the Dean's staff in the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid are also instrumental in the design and delivery of such information to prospective students and their parents. Information distributed to interested students and their families generally comes through one or more of the following venues: the University's web site, the University viewbook, campus tours, the University catalogue, and the admissions information packet, which includes an admission application and a recruitment brochure.

The University's Prospective Student web site is probably the most widely used and most comprehensive source of information. Many future students come to the web site for basic information about the University, admissions criteria, financial aid and scholarships, and degree program offerings. Southeastern's web pages convey accurate information about the admissions process, the degree programs offered at the University, financial aid and scholarships, housing options, and tuition and fees. Other pages such as "Why Choose Southeastern?," "More About Us," and "The Best of the Best" present informative and accurate representations of the programs and services Southeastern has to offer. Interactive forms allow students to contact Admissions for more information, to apply for admission, to request a catalogue, and to schedule a campus tour.

In all promotional materials, Southeastern represents itself accurately and with professionalism. Publications and web pages are periodically reviewed and updated. Publications such as the viewbook and the catalogue are produced cooperatively by the administrative staff and the University's Office of Public Information.
