Southeastern Louisiana University provides financial statements and related documents as requested by the University of Louisiana System, outlined in the System's Board Rules (Chapter IV, Sections I, II, III, and XII) and Policy and Procedures Memoranda FB-IV.(1-a). These documents accurately and appropriately represent the total operation of the University, and are prepared in accordance with guidelines set forth by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Financial statements are submitted annually and audited by the Legislative Auditor of the State of Louisiana. Accuracy of information is verified through this external audit process. The Legislative Auditor issues a Management Letter assuring the financial information of the University and expressing an opinion on the University of Louisiana System's Financial Statements as a whole. In addition to the audited financial statements, the University prepares Annual Financial Statements (2001, 2002, 2003) for the University of Louisiana System.
