Turtle Cove Environmental Research Station

Turtle Cove Environmental Research Station is a field research and educational facility of Southeastern Louisiana University, and is located in the Lake Pontchartrain estuarine ecosystem.

Turtle Cove's mission is to promote environmental awareness in southeastern Louisiana; encourage educators and their students to take an active role in environmental restoration and education; and serve as a liaison between research scientists, educators and students, and the general public.

To schedule a field experience at Turtle Cove and to visit the surrounding wetlands for your teachers' group or class, to get more information about teachers' education workshops, to volunteer with the station, or for any reason, contact Turtle Cove Biologist-on-staff Michael Greene by emailing mgreene@selu.edu or by calling the Turtle Cove Education and Outreach Office at 985.549.3600.
