  • What does DOA have to offer to me?
  • DOA offers a variety of help to the pre-professional student. Pursuing a career in professional medicine is a highly competitive area of education. Your academic, extracurricular, and personal activities will be examined closely. SLU's rigorous curricula will help to prepare you for entry into professional school. Delta Omega Alpha is an organisation committed to assisting pre-professional students in areas such as admission to professional school, class advising, tutoring, and preparation for special tests (MCAT, DAT, OAT, GRE).

DOA is a non-profit organisation formed to benefit the students. The society considers member support a key factor to it's success. DOA meetings are held every other week to enhance the student's awareness of important issues. There are guest speakers, practice tests given by Kaplan and Princeton, many opportunities to meet people with similar career goals, as well as many opportunities to become involved through the community. Becoming a member of DOA will open doors to internships and jobs and put you in touch with students who can give you advice.
