SLU STUDENTS NAMED TO "WHO'S WHO"
HAMMOND -- The 1999 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American
Universities and Colleges will include the names of 48 students from Southeastern Louisiana
University who have been selected as national outstanding leaders.
Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual director included the students
based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular
activities and potential for continued success.
The students join an elite group selected from more than 1,900 institutions of higher
learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign countries.
Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first
published in 1934.
Southeastern students named this year are
HAMMOND -- Michael Bass, Wayne Cain, Ashley Daussat, Brett Duncan, Kimberly
Marshall, Angel Perez, Lisa Schum.
PONCHATOULA -- Kellie Barbara, Natalie Mayeaux, Paul Rigs Jr., Sherilynn Silvers.
INDEPENDENCE -- William Halford.
