SLU VISITING PROFESSOR IN RECITAL FEB. 27  
     HAMMOND -- Soprano Emily Truckenbrod, a visiting professor in the Southeastern
Louisiana University music department, will present a faculty recital Sunday, February 27, 7:30
p.m. in the Pottle Music Building Auditorium. 
     Truckenbrod will be accompanied by music department faculty members Raisa Voldman,
piano, and Patrick Kerber, guitar. 
     The program will include works from John Dowland's "The First Book of Songs or
Ayres," Mozart's "Exsultate jubilate," and Francis Poulence's "Metamorphoses" as well as
works by Hugo Wolf and William Walton. 
     Truckenbrod, who holds master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Iowa, has
taught at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill., and Central College in Pella, Iowa. 
     In 1999 she was one of 12 young voice teachers selected to participate in the National
Association of Teachers of Singing Intern Program held in Ellensburg, Wash.
