LEADERSHIP AWARD -- Sarah Kay Thornhill of Baton Rouge, associate professor of nursing
at Southeastern Louisiana University, has received the Award for Leadership from Sigma Theta
Tau, the national honor society for nursing. Presented by the University of Southern Mississippi
School of Nursing's Gamma Lambda Chapter, the award recognizes individuals who have had
national and international impact in the field of nursing. Dr. Thornhill, shown with School of
Nursing Dean Ellienne Tate, right, has made numerous national presentations and also presented a
research review at Sigma Theta Tau's International Research Congress in Madrid, Spain, in 1993.
