SLU SUMMER ENROLLMENT UP AGAIN
     HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University's Summer 1997 enrollment totals
5,760 -- another record figure. 
     According to the university's enrollment profile, summer enrollment is up 1.5 percent
from 5,672  students in Summer 1996. Enrollment is up in Tangipahoa Parish, which has 1,330
students, as well as in the parishes of St. Tammany, 1,129; East Baton Rouge, 971; Livingston,
619, and Jefferson, 355.
     Freshmen enrollment totals 920, while there are 890 sophomores, 862 juniors, 1,963
seniors and 1,125 graduate students attending the summer session.
