JOHN PAUL DOMIANO NAMED SLU "STUDENT EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR"
     HAMMOND -- John Paul Domiano has been named "Student Employee of the Year" at
Southeastern Louisiana University . The senior accounting major from Hammond works for the
Southeastern Alumni Association.
     The award, sponsored by Southeastern's Financial Aid Office, was presented to Domiano by
Southeastern President Sally Clausen at an April 6 reception at the Alumni Center. Domiano will
now advance to regional competition.
     Southeastern's more than 1,000 student employees "play a vital role," Clausen said. "We
couldn't get the job done without them."

Services; Carol Davis, Hammond, Athletics; Aimee Domiano, Hammond, Development
Foundation; Tiffany Faust, Hammond, Recreational Sports and Wellness; Ira Fields, New
Orleans, Recreational Sports and Wellness; Carolyn Fulton, Reserve, Student
Organizations/Greek Life; Monica Garrett, Hammond, Financial Aid; Elizabeth Grisaffi,
Marrero, Recreational Sports and Wellness. 
     Also, Sean Lagrosse, Empire, Recreational Sports and Wellness; Douglas Linquest,
Hammond, Counseling, Family Studies and Education Leadership Department; Natalie
Mayeaux, Ponchatoula, Fanfare; Michael McClothren, Ponchatoula, Controller's Office; Hope
Mitchell, Independence, Mathematics; Savinilorna Payandi-Pillay, Hammond, Marketing and
Finance; Corey Saragusa, Independence, Physical Plant; Brian Verbene, Kentwood, Leadership
Development/Student Activities; Leann Yarborough, Kentwood, Athletics.
     Alumni Director Kathy Pittman called Domiano "a model student worker" and sets the
example for other Alumni Center student workers. "John Paul is always willing to lend a helping
hand, whether it is for Chefs Evening, Rock 'n Roar, Alumni events or playing the piano for
Alumni Center visitors," she said. She said he is active in his community and church as well as in
the accounting honor society Beta Alpha Psi.
