SLU CO-HOSTS SEMINAR FOR SMALL BUSINESSES
     HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University's Small Business Development
Center and the Tangipahoa Economic Development Foundation and the will co-host "Resources
Available to Small Businesses," a seminar for small business owners, June 10 at the Hammond
Holiday Inn.
     The 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. seminar will feature a keynote luncheon address on time
management by  Cindy Carrier of the Southeast Resource Center.
     Seminar topics also include technical assistance for manufacturers, workforce
development, locating qualified labor in Tangipahoa Parish, tax incentives for expanding
businesses, small business loans, selling to the government, opportunities for economically
disadvantaged businesses and business plans and loan proposals.
     The seminar costs $15 and includes refreshments and lunch. Pre-registration and pre-
payment are requested. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., June 10.
