SOUTHEASTERN'S SIFE TEAM WINS REGIONAL COMPETITION
EDITORS: PLEASE NOTE LOCAL INTEREST 
     HAMMOND, LA -- Southeastern Louisiana University's Students in Free Enterprise
(SIFE) team won the SIFE regional competition held in New Orleans on April 2.  As the regional
winners, Southeastern will advance to the International Competition in Kansas City next month.
     Southeastern's team also won the Regional Halt-the-Deficit Award sponsored by the Jules
and Gwenn Knapp Foundation for projects on the federal deficit issue. The team received
trophies and monetary awards of $2800.
     Members of this year's team are:  Stephanie Wascom and Thomas Woods, Hammond;
Kristi Sumrall, Albany; Paul Mouledous, Robert; Madelan Collier, Greenwell Springs; Karen
Crocker, Roseland; Jerry Hill, Bogalusa; Sonya Jarvis, Mandeville; Glenn Rhodes, Thibodaux;
Romalise Robertson, Pine Grove; Chikenna Cain, Baton Rouge and Frank Desio, Gretna.  David
Ramsey of Hammond is the team's advisor.
