EXHIBIT SHOWCASES SOUTHEASTERN SENIORS
HAMMOND – The works of Southeastern
Louisiana University art students who will graduate in December are on
display through Dec. 5 at the university’s Contemporary Art Gallery in
East Stadium.
The exhibit features graphic design,
painting, digital art, ceramics and sculpture by Caesandra Seawell and
Nicole Lousteau of Hammond, Michael Trahan and Murry Daniels of Livingston,
Kelley Devine of Mandeville, Leyna Meredith of Bush, Vanessa DeVillier
and Cristina Brandon of Covington, Jennifer Fleming of Baker, Derek Morris
of Zachary, Jessica Chisholm of Baton Rouge, and Marquee Delaune of Gonzales.
“These young artists have shown work
throughout the region, including galleries in Baton Rouge, Covington, New
Orleans and Hammond,” said Dennis Sipiorski, head of the Department of
Visual Arts. “The senior exhibition culminates several years of their creativity,
experimentation and talent.”
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m,
weekdays. The gallery will be closed Nov. 23-25 for the Thanksgiving holidays.
