STUDENT RECITAL AT SLU
     HAMMOND   James Roberts of SanDiego, Calif., a voice major at Southeastern
Louisiana University, will present his senior recital at 4 p.m., April 23, at the Ralph R. Pottle
Music Building Auditorium.
     Roberts, who studies with Southeastern voice professor Scharmal Schrock, recently
appeared as the uncle, Archibald, in the Southeastern Opera-Music Theatre Program production
of "The Secret Garden." 
     Accompanied by pianist Chuck Effler of Hammond, Roberts will perform works by
Schumann, Handel, Ricky Ian Gordon, Hahn, and Southeastern choral director Graeme Cowen.
