SLU STUDENTS REMINDED OF REGISTRATION, FEE PAYMENT DEADLINES
HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University is reminding students who registered
last November for the spring 1999 semester that they must pay fees by January 8 or their class
schedules will be canceled.
Students who registered early and who meet the fee deadline can drop and add courses
January 11-12. They will not be allowed to make changes during regular registration, January 13-
14, which is reserved for new students and students who did not register early.
However, students who registered early, but did not pay fees on time and had class
schedules canceled can re-register on January 13-14.
The fee payment deadline for regular registration is 6 p.m. January 14.
Late Registration, January 19-21, is open to anyone needing to register for the first time
or to drop and add courses. January 22 is the late registration fee payment deadline.
Loan checks will no longer be distributed during regular registration. Students who have
accepted and returned an award letter to the university's financial aid office by November 20 will
receive credits to their accounts for Pell Grants, Perkins and Stafford Loans and most
scholarships. The credits may be used for tuition, room and board and bookstore purchases. Loan
checks received by electronic funds transfer will be mailed to students on January 15. Loan
checks not received via EFT must be picked up on January 20.
