SLU SBDC SPONSORS BOOKKEEPING WORKSHOP
     HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University's Small Business Development
Center will host summer and fall sessions of  an intensive, two-part introductory-level workshop
on "Using Quickbooks Pro for Small Business Bookkeeping." 
     The workshop will be conducted from 3-7 p.m. June 22 and June 24 and August 11 and
13. All sessions will be held in the Room 73 of Southeastern's Norval R. Garrett College of
Business Building. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. Only 15 spaces are available
in each session.
     Participants will gain hands-on instruction in setting up accounts; tracking receivables;
calculating payroll; generating reports; building customer and vendor lists; and writing checks,
invoices, and purchase orders. The instructor will give participants the practical accounting
information that will help them to understand the financial aspects of their business.
     The workshop will use Windows 95. Participants must have a basic working knowledge
of computers. Hands-on training will be conducted with one person per computer.
     The cost to attend the eight-hour course is $100. Included in the fee is a take-home
manual with a reusable data disk.
