PHI KAPPA PHI INDUCTS NEW MEMBERS FOR SPRING 1999
     HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University has inducted 48 students and three
faculty members into its chapter of the prestigious Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. 
     To be considered for membership in the national honor society, a student must be in the
top ten percent of the senior or graduate class and hold a minimum 3.4 grade point average.
Sound character is a supporting criterion. Faculty and alumni are chosen for outstanding
contributions to their fields.
     Faculty members selected were William Bond, professor of biological sciences; Yu
Hsing, professor of economics and head of the Department of General Business, and Jana
Schulman, assistant professor of English.
     Graduate students inducted were April Ballard Allen and John Bedell Hanchey,
Hammond; Gina Drago Rapp, Baton Rouge, and Stephen Carroll Richter, Norman, Okla.
     Undergraduate students inducted for spring 1999 were:
