SLU PRESIDENT'S EXCELLENCE AWARD WINNERS -- At Southeastern Louisiana
University's annual faculty-staff convocation, President Sally Clausen presented plagues to the
1996 recipients of the prestigious President's Award for Excellence in teaching, research, artistic
activity and service. Recipients were, from left, William Robison, professor of history,
Excellence in Teaching; Harriet Vogt, artistic director of Fanfare, Excellence in Artistic Activity;
Gary Shaffer, associate professor of biological sciences, Excellence in Research; Judy
Couvillion, Human Resource academic staff coordinator, Excellence in Service (Staff) and Anne
Ferguson, head of the College of Basic Studies' Junior Division, Excellence in Service (Faculty).
