The university's jazz combo, directed by Allan Zurcher, was the first ensemble to perform on the stage, which was constructed earlier this year with funds from the university's Student Government Association. The informal noon concert is the first of a planned series. Zurcher said the jazz group's next appearance in the Performance Circle is scheduled for December 6.
