COOL JAZZ AT SOUTHEASTERN PERFORMANCE CIRCLE-- The cool fall weather was the perfect setting Friday for cool jazz at Southeastern Louisiana University's new Performance Circle, a small outdoor stage under the oaks adjacent to the Pottle Music Building. The university's jazz combo, directed by Allan Zurcher, was the first ensemble to perform on the stage, which was constructed earlier this year with funds from the university's Student Government Association. The informal noon concert is the first of a planned series. Zurcher said the jazz group's next appearance in the Performance Circle is scheduled for December 6. From left, are Lacy Blackledge of Stringer, Miss., trumpet; Brad Salley of Ellisville, Miss., alto sax, and Emannuel Seals of Fairhope, Ala., tenor sax. The eight-member jazz combo will also present a free concert at the Pottle Music Building Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
