NOTARY TEST PREPARATION COURSE AT SLU
     HAMMOND -- Southeastern's Division of Continuing Education will offer a non-credit
course presenting an analysis of the powers, duties and responsibilities of the Louisiana Notary
Public, September 2 through October 7, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesdays in the University Center. 
Douglas T. Curet, J.D. will be the instructor.
     The course will help prepare notarial candidates for the examination given by the Parish
Notarial Commission.  The course is also designed to benefit those in financial institutions, real
estate, business and paralegals.
     Subject matter ranges from mortgages, conveyances, leases, contracts, servitudes, oil, gas
and mineral rights, legal descriptions, promissory notes and UCC finance agreements to
successions, wills and trusts and Louisiana community property regime.
