BRUNO JOINS ULM STAFF AS ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS
AFFAIRS
HAMMOND -- Independence native
Nick Bruno has joined the staff of the University of Louisiana at Monroe
as associate vice president of business affairs. His appointment was approved
August 23 by the Louisiana Board of Supervisors.
Bruno previously served as assistant
vice president for special initiatives at Southeastern Louisiana
University. He spent most of his more than 20 years at Southeastern as
director of auxiliary services.
Southeastern recently honored
Bruno for his years of service with a farewell reception. At Southeastern,
he was responsible for projects such as installing card readers throughout
the university for use in vending and copy machines; initiating the construction
of the innovative campus housing projects the Village and Southeastern
Oaks, and bringing in private firms to provide student services such as
the campus bookstore and campus dining.
As ULM’s new associate vice president
for business affairs Bruno will be responsible for directing and overseeing
the overall operations of departments ensuring compliance with university,
state, and federal law, policies and regulations. He will also oversee
the preparation of university budgets, provide budgetary revenue projections
as well as expenditure projections for such areas as salaries, related
benefits, utilities, and scholarships, among many other duties.
Bruno received his doctoral degree
in educational leadership from the University of Mississippi. |
