TWO NEW DEANS JOIN SOUTHEASTERN FACULTY
     HAMMOND -- Auburn University marketing professor Michael Budden has been
named dean of Southeastern Louisiana University's College of Business, and Jill Landesberg of
the University of Judaism in Bel Air, Calif., is the university's new Dean of Students.
     The appointments were approved June 27 by the University of Louisiana System Board
of Trustees. Landesberg's appointment is effective July 1, while Budden will assume his new
duties August 15.
     Budden, who was Dean of Auburn's School of Business from 1988-1994, earned his
Master of Business Administration degree at Southeastern in 1976 and headed the university's
department of marketing and finance from 1984-88. He earned his bachelor's degree from
Louisiana State University in 1974 and doctoral degree at the University of Arkansas in 1982.
Budden also has taught at McNeese State University and the University of Arkansas and has
served as a marketing consultant. He is the author of Protecting Trade Secrets Under the
Uniform Trade Secrets Act: Practical Advice for Executives, as well as numerous professional
articles.
     Landesberg comes to Southeastern from the University of Judaism, where she has been
Dean of Students since 1995. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, where she received
her bachelor's degree in psychology and doctoral degree in organizational development,
Landesberg also has served as financial advisor and stockbroker for American Express Financial
Advisors and as residence director at the University of Massachusetts.
