SLU STUDENTS AMONG VOCAL WINNERS
     HAMMOND -- Two Southeastern Louisiana University students took first place in the
Spring competition of the South Louisiana Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of
Singing.
     The competition was held in March at Louisiana State University. More than 200 singers
from southern Louisiana participated. Twelve students from Southeastern were among the
contestants.
     Sophomore Susan Buller of Jeanerette took first place honors in the Sophomore Women
category. First place in the Older Graduate Men category went to graduate student Ian Kean Sean
Lim of Denton, Texas.
     Rita Dottor of Saulte St. Marie, Canada, was second in the Music Theatre category and
Tyler Smith of Baton Rouge was third in the Senior Men division.
