NANETTE GUERIN JOINS KSLU STAFF
     HAMMOND -- Nanette Chauvin Guerin of Hammond has joined the staff of
Southeastern Louisiana University's radio station, KSLU 90.9FM, as director of underwriting
and development.
     Guerin, a 1973 Southeastern graduate, was general manager of Airweb, Inc.   Hammond
radio stations WFPR and WHMD --  from 1978 to 1995, after first working for the stations in
sales. She served as development director for St. Thomas Aquinas High School from 1997-98.
     "Nanette is a wonderful addition to the Southeastern family," said KSLU General
Manager Wayne Cain. "The Chauvin family is legendry in radio in our area and has a record of
service to the community that reaches back for decades. We're extremely happy to have her on
board here at KSLU."
     As director of underwriting and development, Guerin will be pursuing funding sources
for public radio. She also plans to work with the station's program director on KSLU promotions
and public relations.
     Guerin has been active in the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters, serving as vice
president in 1991-92, treasurer from 1989 to 1991 and a member of the board of directors from
1987 to 1992. Her long list of community and civic activities has included serving on the boards
of directors of the Hammond Chamber of Commerce, the Tangi Food Pantry, and the Holy Ghost
School Board. She also was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas board, and was its president in
1996-97. She is a past  president of the American Cancer Society's Tangipahoa Chapter and
coordinator of its fund-raiser, Relay for Life.
