SLU SUMMER MATH WORKSHOP SEEKING TEACHERS TO PARTICIPATE
HAMMOND, LA -- Southeastern Louisiana University's Project M3 (Meaningful Math
for Middle School) is accepting applications for their summer workshop in June. Project M3 is a
four-week workshop for middle school teachers that allows teachers in school teams from grades
4-8, to investigate ways to make both the math content and activities more meaningful in their
classroom. The workshop also offers follow-up activities throughout the school year.
Participants in Project M3 receive stipends, college credit, materials, technology training
and staff support as they work on instituting math reform methods in their classroom. The
deadline for submitting applications is April 1.
Teachers should contact their principals or call 549-2602 for more information.
