SLU HOLDS "GET ACQUAINTED" SEMINAR
HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University is inviting minority and international
students and their parents to a "get acquainted" seminar on Tuesday, Sept. 21.
The College of Basic Studies and the Office of Multi-cultural and International Student
Affairs will sponsor the annual "Let's Get Acquainted" seminar and social at 6 p.m. in the
Teacher Education Center Kiva.
The program introduces minority and international students and their parents to the
Southeastern family and provides information about the university and assistance in adjusting to
university life.
Southeastern's Interim Vice President for Student Affairs Kim Hunter will be the keynote
speaker. The seminar also feature a performance by the Southeastern Gospel Choir and a student,
parent, faculty and staff mixer.
Participants will have the opportunity to get student organization and other college
information. They will also receive refreshments and free admission to a pan-hellenic party.
