SLU STUDENT TO PRESENT GRADUATE FLUTE RECITAL
     HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University flutist Kristin Kean of Lexington,
Mass., will present her graduate recital at 7:30 p.m., April 14, at Pottle Music Building
Auditorium.
     Kean, who is pursuing a master's degree in flute performance, studies with Sara Beth
Hanson of Southeastern's music faculty.
     Kean's program includes "Sonata in a minor for solo flute" by C.P.E. Bach, "Sonata for
flute and piano" by Vern Reynolds, "Strange and Unknown Flowers" by Charles Delaney, "Duo
for flute and clarinet" by Robert Muczinski and "Concerto for flute" Jean Rivier. The program
also will feature Southeastern music professors Willis Delony, piano, and Frankie Kelly, clarinet. 
     Kean earned her bachelor's degree from Boston University and, after graduation, was
principal flute for the Orquesta Sinfonica de la Universidad Nuevo Leon in Nuevo Leon,
Monterrey, Mexico.
