DANCE  WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN & TEENS JUNE 6 AT SLU 
     HAMMOND, LA -- Izzy Dance Organization, a Southeastern Louisiana University
student organization, will host a one-day dance workshop for children and teenagers from 9 a.m.
to 2 p.m., June 6, in the Kinesiology and Health Studies Building dance studio.
     Classes will be offered in aerobics, tumbling, gymnastics, and modern and jazz dance
technique. Participants should bring their lunch and a snack. Juice will be provided. T-shirts also
will be available for $10.
     The cost of the workshop is $25. The workshop is a fundraiser for Izzy Dance
Organization s planned summer trip to New York City.  Izzy Dance Organization is composed of
advanced student dancers who perform on a professional level, according to Southeastern dance
instructor Dana Brewer-Plazinic, the organization's sponsor. 
     The students need to raise approximately $3,500 for the two-week New York trip,
planned for August, Brewer said. In New York, the students will take professional dance classes
and will give a performance of a work called "Pieces" at a rented theatre on Second Avenue on
the final Friday and Saturday nights of their stay. Eight Southeastern dancers are hoping to make
the trip with Brewer.
