SOUTHEASTERN DANCE PRESENTS “ILLUMINATIONS” NOV. 17
HAMMOND – Southeastern
Louisiana University’s Department of Music and Dramatic Arts will present
“Illuminations” Nov. 17 at the Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts.
Directed by Southeastern
dance instructor Dana Brewer-Plazinic, “Illuminations” combines modern
and jazz. The 7:30 p.m. concert will feature the choreography of Southeastern
students April Bardwell of Ponchatoula, Jennifer Buck of New Orleans, Jarrod
Cashe of Hammond and Micah Richerand of Covington. Guest choreographers
are Kris Cangelosi of Cangelosi Dance Project in Baton Rouge and Kettye
Voltz of Tsunami Dance Company in New Orleans.
Dancers for the evening’s
performance include Southeastern students Kristin Crawford of Slidell;
Kristie Doyle of Harahan; Kallie English of Metairie; Thurman Fields and
Roxanne Pfeil of Hammond; Patience Impson of Denham Springs; Ericka Johnson
of Destrehan; Daphne Lamendola of Gonzales; Lauren Landry of Baton Rouge;
Jerica Robinson, Shiloh Klein and Ashley Jones of Ponchatoula; Debbie Rodriguez
of Harvey; Riann Weishaupt of Prairieville; Vicki Welch of Independence;
Trystin Williams of LaPlace; Jodie Sandefur of Albany; Brittni Barlow of
Tickfaw; Shaylyn Ducoing of Laffite; Jada Foret of Lockport; Stacie Sabathe
of Chalmette; and Tiffany Hoke of Slidell.
Also performing will be
area high school students Brittni Barlow, Amy Ferrera and Bridget Lyons.
Tickets are $5 general
admission; $3 seniors, Southeastern faculty, staff, alumni and non-Southeastern
students; and free for Southeastern students with ID.
