GRAD FAIR SMOOTHS PATH TO GRADUATION FOR SLU SENIORS
     HAMMOND -- Grad Fair, a program designed to take the hassle out of preparing for
graduation for Southeastern Louisiana University seniors, is scheduled for March 21 and 22 at
Twelve Oaks.
     Leadership Development/Student Activities Director Jackie Dale Thomas, who started
the program in 1995,  said Grad Fair, "gives graduating seniors a one-stop shopping opportunity
to complete the requirements to walk at commencement and to graduate officially from the
university."
     Grad Fair hours are noon to 5 p.m., Thursday, March 21, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday,
March 22. 
     Students who expect to receive their diplomas in May can order caps and gowns and class
rings and purchase invitations. They also can copy their resumes, obtain career placement and
alumni information, complete financial aid and student exit surveys, and visit a variety of booths
offering services to prepare them for both Graduation Day and the job market, Thomas said.
Participants can register for special drawings for gift certificates from the Southeastern Follett
Bookstore, a class ring compliments of Josten's and a "Grad Pack" from the Xerox Document

     Grad Fair is co-sponsored by Leadership Development/Student Activities and Gamma
