SLU STUDENTS NAMED TO GAMMA BETA PHI
     HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University's chapter of Gamma Beta Phi
recently inducted 127 students into the national honor and service society.
     Gamma Beta Phi, which has more than 400 members at Southeastern, offers membership
to the top 15 percent of each class. Members must maintain their academic standing and
participate in a variety of civic or service projects.
     Gamma Beta Phi, which annually conducts service projects such as blood drives and
holiday food collection, has been named Southeastern's most outstanding campus organization
for the past five years.
     New members are:
