SLU COLLEGE OF EDUCATION AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT HONORS TOP
STUDENTS
     HAMMOND   Elementary education major Renee Thompson of Donaldsonville 
received the Outstanding Student Teacher award at the Southeastern Louisiana University
College of Education and Human Development's annual honors convocation April 26.
     Thompson, who also received the Outstanding Senior in English Education award, was
chosen for the college's top honor from among six nominees, including elementary education
majors Holly Adams of Kenner, Jennifer Balisteri of Baker, Barbara Moffett of Folsom, English
education major Sarah Guillory of New Roads and kinesiology education major Lloyd Saxon of
Hammond.
     The college's Outstanding Junior Award went to Kelly Michelle Murray of New Orleans.
     The College of Education and Human Development also announced departmental honors
and scholarships and new members of the honor societies Phi Kappa Phi, Kappa Delta Pi and the
Thirteen Club. 
     Students receiving departmental honors included:

     HAMMOND   Keith James, Alan Keating Memorial Scholarship for Outstanding Senior
in Music Education
