SLU CHAMBER WINDS TO PERFORM MARCH 6
     HAMMOND, LA -- The Southeastern Louisiana University Music Department presents
the SLU Chamber Winds in concert Friday March 6, 7:30 pm in the Pottle Music Building
Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
     Trumpet professor, Mark Auffarth will be the featured performer for the concert and will
perform "Concerto for Two Trumpets" with student Don Woods. The Chamber Winds will also 
perform "La Boutique Fantasque", "Serenade in C minor" by Mozart, "Scherzo" from "A
Midsummer Night's Dream" and Movement 1 from "Ludwig von Beethoven's Symphony No. 1."
     The SLU Chamber Winds perform music especially arranged or adapted for their
instrumentation. This ensemble allows music performance majors a large wind ensemble
performance opportunity without the normal multiple instrument found in a band.
