SLU CONCERT CHOIR RELEASES COMPACT DISC
     HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University s premier vocal ensemble, the Concert
Choir, has released its first compact disc.
      The Concert Choir On Tour  features the Choir s performance of works such as Mozart s
 Regina Coeli  and Vivaldi s  Gloria  as well as Alessandro Scarlatti s  Exultate Deo  and Moses
Hogan s arrangement of  Elijah Rock. 
     Recorded in December 1996 and April 1997 at Hammond s Holy Ghost Church, the 12-track
CD, said Concert Choir director Brad Richmond, was produced as both a recruiting tool for
Southeastern and its music department and a fund-raiser for the Concert Choir s planned spring trip to
England.
     The CD sells for $12 and is available through Richmond, 504-549-2334, and Concert Choir
members.
      I m very pleased with our CD,  said Richmond.  As far as I know, this is the Choir s first
recording in well over a decade.  It is a very good representation of the quality of music we re
making.
