TICKETS ON SALE FOR SLU'S CHEFS EVENING
HAMMOND -- Eighteen north shore restaurants, caterers and beverage companies are on the
"menu" for Chefs Evening, the Southeastern Louisiana University Development Foundation's
annual
food festival.
Chefs Evening is scheduled for 5-8 p.m. Feb. 23 in SLU's Twelve Oaks Cafeteria. Tickets,
$35 per person, are available through the SLU Development Foundation, 504-549-2239.
Twelve Oaks will become a "Winter Wonderland" for the popular annual event, which helps
underwrite university academic programs.
This year's participants include, from Tangipahoa Parish, Amato Winery, Cantrell Catering,
D&D Catering, Don's Seafood and Steakhouse, Gourmet Delight, Jacmel Inn, Lagniappe
Catering,
Murphy's Seafood, PJ's Coffee and Tea House, Steve's Custom Catering, Taste of Bavaria
Restaurant,
Tommy's Pizza and Trey Yuen.
Participants from St. Tammany Parish are Abita Brewery, Benedict's and Nuvolaris.
Jerry Henry of Heritage House Wines and Abita Springs Water, both of Metairie, round out
the list of establishments offering tasty samples.
