SLU CHAMBER ORCHESTRA TO PERFORM APRIL 30
     HAMMOND -- The Southeastern Louisiana University Chamber Orchestra's spring
concert on Monday, April 30 will feature "Music from the Romantic Era."
     Southeastern music professor Yakov Voldman, director of the university's string
program, will conduct the concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m. in Pottle Music Building
Auditorium.
     Voldman said the orchestra will perform works by Bizet, Schedrin, Glazunov,
Vieuxtemps and Tchaikovsky. "I think the audience will enjoy our selection of very exciting,
passionate music," he said. 
     Soloists include music professor John Perrine, saxophone, and three graduate students:
baritone Krassen Karagiozov of Sofia, Bulgaria, and violinists Razvan Konstantin and Gabriel
Platica of Bucharest, Romania.
