SLU OFFERS FINANCIAL AID, ADMISSIONS COUNSELING AT ST. TAMMANY,
BATON ROUGE CAMPUSES
HAMMOND -- St. Tammany Parish and Baton Rouge area residents now have a
Southeastern Louisiana University financial aid and admissions counselor in their own
neighborhood.
The university has begun staffing satellite offices one day a week at its St. Tammany
Center, located on Koop Drive near Abita Springs, and Baton Rouge Campus on Essen Lane.
Sam Domiano, director of Admissions and Financial Aid, said the Baton Rouge office
will be open from 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and the St. Tammany office from 1 to 7 p.m. on
Thursdays.
"We want to be personally available to our students, prospective students or parents who
have questions about admissions or financial aid procedures or want to pick up university
catalogs, forms or other information," Domiano said. "Our counselor can also help anyone fill
out forms, such as the crucial Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)."
He said Southeastern plans to host financial aid and admissions workshops at both
locations in the future.
The satellite office at the Baton Rouge Campus, located at 4849 Essen Lane (across from
Our Lady of the Lake Hospital), will be in Room 249 on the second floor. The office can be
contacted by phone at 225-765-2324, extension 251, or fax at 225-765-2315.
The St. Tammany satellite office is housed in Southeastern's St. Tammany Center, located
in the parish government complex, 21454 Koop Drive. Koop Drive is located off Hwy. 59, just
north of Abita Springs. The phone number is 504-893-6251.
The St. Tammany location will close at 4:30 p.m. during May and December semester
breaks.
