Proceeds from the event will be used to fund the purchase of equipment for Southeastern’s women’s soccer program.       The walking route will take the University Avenue underpass, going left to North Oak and following that street south to Dakota Street. Turning right on Dakota, the route will take General Pershing back to North Campus and the textbook rental building via the underpass.        The runners’ route is similar, but will include a loop to the Human Resources Building on the northwest end of North Campus.        Registration for the Southeastern 5K Run/Walk Fundraiser for Women’s Soccer is $20, payable on the morning of the race or in advance by calling 985-549-5485.       Kathy Pittman, Southeastern alumni director, reminds participants that Rock ‘n Roar VIII activities are just another short walk to the War Memorial Student Union area.
