PROJECT SAFE CAMPUS SPONSORS PROGRAM FOR PARENTS ON MODERN DRUGS
HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University’s Project Safe Campus, in conjunction with 21st Judicial District Attorney Scott M. Perrilloux’s Rape Crisis Program and North Oaks Health Systems, is offering a free seminar for parents on the drugs of today’s youth.
From 6:30-7:30 p.m. March 30, local experts will present facts on modern raves, including undercover rave video highlighting MDMA and crystal meth use. Distinctive tell-tale signs of usage of the latest street drugs will also be discussed, along with the health consequences.
Project Safe Campus, an initiative to promote safe and responsible behavior among Southeastern students, is sponsored by Southeastern’s Division of Student Affairs with the goal of encouraging students to “be smart and be safe.”
For additional information, contact Perrilloux’s office at 1-800-572-0083 or Carol Magendie, assistant to the vice president of student affairs, at cmagendie@selu.edu.
