HAMMOND -- The Southeastern Louisiana University Public Information Office has been honored in the areas of graphic design, admissions marketing and external publications.
Public Information received two national awards in the 19th Annual Admissions Advertising Awards competition sponsored by HMR Publications Group, the corporate home for the publication “Admissions Marketing Report.”
In the category for institutions with 10,000-19,999 students, a first place Gold award went to the office for its 30-second television spot "So Much More" in the television advertising/single spot division; a third place Bronze award was given for the 2003 "Southeastern Magazine" in the external publication category. The television spot was produced by writer/editor Cheryl Settoon and edited by video editor Steve Kleyle. The “Southeastern Magazine,” a 44-page full color publication, was a group project involving the office’s staff.
Public Information graphic designer Terry Bahm also received honors at the recent Advertising Federation of Baton Rouge’s “Addy Awards.” Bahm received a first place Gold award for her "Melody" poster promoting a Southeastern Chamber Orchestra music event in Covington last year and a second place Silver award for her t-shirt design for the 2003 Southeastern's Choir Invitational.
