| TICKETS ON SALE JUNE 9 FOR SOUTHEASTERN’S “OLIVER!”
HAMMOND -- Tickets will go on sale June 9 for the Southeastern Louisiana University Opera-Music Theatre Program’s summer musical, “Oliver!” Advance tickets for the musical will be available at the Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts box office. The box office, located in the theater’s lobby at 220 E. Thomas Street, 985-543-4371, is open weekdays from noon to 5 p.m. Ticket prices are $15, $18, $21, and $24. Three performances of the hit musical will be presented June 27-28 at the Columbia, Southeastern’s historic theater in downtown Hammond. Curtain will be 7:30 p.m. both days, with an additional 2 p.m. matinee on June 28. “Oliver!” will be directed by New York City director/choreographer Wendy Taucher, who led the production staff for Southeastern’s acclaimed 2001 summer production of the musical "Annie.” The production staff for “Oliver!” also includes Southeastern music professor Scharmal Schrock as music director; Opera-Music Theatre Program Interim Director Charles Effler as conductor and producer; communication professor Steve Schepker as set designer; Pete Pfeil, Columbia Theatre Associate Director for Operations and Production, as lighting design; Southeastern dance instructor Greta Sharp as co-choreographer; and Louisiana Teacher of the Year Avril Font as British dialect coach.
