CLUB FOR LIONS LADY FOOTBALL FANS NEEDS NAME
HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana
University is launching a new social club for women fans of Lions football,
which will kick off once again in Strawberry Stadium this fall.
“Nothing but fun and full of
spirit” is the way Southeastern Alumni Association Director Kathy Pittman
and Southeastern alumnus Pam Skibinski describe plans for the Lions ladies
football club.
Skibinski, who is organizing
the new club, said members will get together during the week of home football
games for a dutch treat luncheon at a local restaurant featuring guest
appearances by coaches, and even tips for understanding the finer points
of the sport.
All the Lions ladies club needs
is a name. Skibinski is turning to the community for help.
Suggested names can mailed to
or dropped off at the Alumni Center, 500 W. University Ave., Hammond, LA
70402. The winner, who will be announced June 1, will be awarded two tickets
to a Southeastern football home game and a game program autographed by
Head Coach Hal Mumme.
For additional information, contact
the Alumni Center at 985-549-2150 or 1-800-758-2586. |
