LPO conductor Albert-George Schram, right, gave Laikyn some pointers before she took the stage to wield the baton for the LPO's performance of "Sleigh Ride." Laikyn was selected to be conductor-for-a-night through a drawing from among the area school children who created ornaments for the holiday tree in the Columbia Theatre lobby.
