SCHOLARSHIP HONORS SOUTHEASTERN’S JACK KNIGHT –  At its annual honors luncheon on April 30, the Southeastern Louisiana University Chemistry and Physics Department presented the Jack Knight Scholarship to David Delatte, a senior from Vacherie who is pursuing a double major in chemistry and biology. The scholarship honors  Jack Knight, who served on the Southeastern faculty from 1952-1980 and held the positions of head of the Chemistry and Physics Department and dean of the College of Science and Technology. The seven chemistry majors in the Class of 1957 helped make the scholarship a reality, especially USDA research biochemist A.J. St. Angelo, and Murphy Oil chief process chemist Armand Cantrell. From left, are Knight (seated) and, standing, Delatte, College of Arts and Sciences Interim Dean Al Doucette, Provost John Crain, President Randy Moffett, and alumni St. Angelo, Pat Settoon, and Cantrell.
