TICKETS ON SALE FOR SOUTHEASTERN’S ANNUAL CHEFS EVENING
HAMMOND -- “Long ago, in days
of yore, there was music, feasting and spirits galore. With a medieval
flare, we’ve recreated that feeling, so join us for Southeastern’s 19th
annual Chefs Evening.”
This rhyming invitation to the
Southeastern Louisiana University Development Foundation’s annual Chefs
Evening might not be world-class poetry, but the event itself is world-class
fun for a great cause. One of the university’s most popular events, the
annual food festival fund-raiser will take place March 28 at the University
Center.
The University Center arena will
be transformed into a medieval wonderland for Chefs Evening 2004 which
will feature dozens of tasty treats and libations from area restaurants,
bars and grills and wholesalers.
Tickets for Chefs Evening, which
supports Southeastern academic programs, are $40. Patrons can also choose
from a variety of ticket packages which can include the popular Patron
Party, the “Champagne Toast” at the campus residence of President Randy
Moffett, and -- a new feature this year -- keys to a “treasure chest” of
special prizes.
