TICKETS ON SALE FOR SOUTHEASTERN’S ANNUAL CHEFS EVENING
HAMMOND – Plan to travel to the Far
East Sunday, April 3, as the Southeastern Development Foundation presents
Chefs Evening 2005, the university’s popular “dinner party for a
good cause,” featuring treats and libations from area restaurants, bars
and grills and wholesalers.
One of the university’s most popular
events, the annual food festival fund-raiser will take place from 5:30-7:30
p.m. at the University Center.
“All of the funds raised from Chefs
Evening ticket sales support academic areas,” said Vice President for University
Advancement Joe Miller. “This is one of the few sources of discretionary
support that academic deans have, and they use Chefs Evening funds to enhance
their programs.”
Chefs Evening coordinator Sarah Schillage
and her decorating crew plan to turn the University Center arena into an
oriental wonderland, with hanging lanterns, paper parasols, and pagodas.
Now on sale, individual tickets for
Chefs Evening are $40. Patrons can also choose from a variety of ticket
packages which can include the popular Patrons Party with a champagne toast
at the university president’s residence.
Chefs Evening ticket packages and their
rewards are:

eight tickets each for the president’s champagne toast, Chefs Evening,
the Patrons Party and a reserved table for eight.
