Project Grading
Your project will be graded according to the following
scheme:
Concepts and Content: 25 points
20 - 25 : Complete and correct description of the concepts
involved in the project. Concepts relate to the topic
addressed. Connections are made between different topics.
15 - 20: Mostly complete but fully correct description of
the concepts involved in the project.
5 - 15: Incomplete description of concepts and/or incorrect
concepts presented.
0 - 5: Incomplete or missing concepts all together.
Calculations: 25 points
20 - 25: Complete and correct calculations that relate to
the project. Calculations are presented such that other
students can easily follow along. No steps are missing. All
work is organized. If your calculations are a numerical
calculation in Excel or VPython, be sure to include a
description of each step and show how Excel or VPython is
calculating the answer.
15 - 20: Complete and mostly correct calculations. All work
is organized.
5 - 15: Incomplete and/or incorrect calculations.
Structure - Presentation: 25 points
20 - 25: The project is displayed in an appropriate format.
The project is easy to read and follow. It is clear what
the goal of the project is as well as the results.
15 - 20: The project is displayed in an appropriate format,
but not easy to read and/or follow. Goals and results are
clear.
5 - 15: The project is missing a key element and perhaps
difficult to follow. Goals and results are present.
0 - 5: The project does not contain all information. There
are no goals and/or results.
Usefulness - Creativitiy: 25 points
20 - 25: The project examines an interesting and unique
topic and/or the project is very useful for other students.
15 - 20: The project is not unique, but perhaps still
interesting. Some students may find the presentation
useful.
5 - 15: The project is neither unique nor useful to other
students.
