1987 - 2004.  Professor, Department of Biology, Saint Mary's College.  Teaching duties have included freshman biology laboratories for majors, human anatomy, animal diversity, comparative vertebrate morphology, natural history of Great Britain (as part of summer London Program), ecology, electron microscopy, introduction to research, and sociobiology.  Guided 2 -7 students per year in senior research projects required for graduation.  Major committee work has included Faculty Affairs Committee (Chair), Grievance Committee (Chair), Faculty  Compensation Committee (Chair), and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (Chair). 

1980 -1989.  Chairman, Department of  Biology, Saint  Mary's College.  As  Chairman, oversaw administration of a department consisting of eight full-time faculty and two (three from 1980--1987) full-time teaching staff members.  Also was responsible for determining course offerings and registration, and counseling of students majoring in the department (16 - 25 students graduated as majors each year).
