Finding Probabilities Using A Cumulative Standard Normal Table (Positive Side)
Follow the numbered steps below to find the probability
of being less than a given number between 0 and 3.49,
inclusive, using a standard normal table.
If the number is greater than 3.49, the probability is at least 0.9998.
To find the probability of being less than a negative number,
use the negative side of the standard normal table.
Cumlative standard normal tables give the probability of being less
than a given number. Usually, one side of the table gives probabilities
for being less than a negative number and the other side of the table
gives probabilities for being less than a positive number.
