FACULTY SENATE RESOLUTION 03-04-12:
CARPOOLING
Whereas many faculty commute from
distant areas, such as Baton Rouge, Covington, Mandeville, Madisonville, Abita
Springs, and New Orleans; and
Whereas due to Southeastern's size,
many of these commuting faculty pass each other on the roads leading to
Hammond, unaware that they are headed to the same destination; and
WHEREAS increased carpooling would
work to the benefit of both faculty members and the University;
be
it therefore resolved that the Faculty Senate advises that the University should develop a
carpooling database in which interested faculty can participate; and
be
it therefore FURTHER resolved that the Faculty Senate
requests that the University should devote sufficient resources to this
project, as it may serve as a model for a larger student program.
